Appearance: Colorless transparent volatile liquid

Solubility: Miscible with ethanol, toluene, xylene and common organic solvents; hydrolyzes slowly in moist air and water to form silanol and propanol.

Chemical Characteristics:

Possesses four hydrolyzable propoxy groups. Under acid or alkali catalysis, it undergoes hydrolysis and polycondensation to form silica network structure. It has lower hydrolysis activity and slower reaction rate than Tetramethoxysilane and Tetraethoxysilane, with better stability and mild reaction.
