Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow clear liquid, with a mild butanone oxime odor

Solubility: Soluble in alcohols, ketones, ethers, and most organic solvents; reacts rapidly with moisture/water, hydrolyzing and releasing butanone oxime.
Chemical Characteristics: Contains one vinyl group (–CH=CH₂) and three methylethylketoxime groups. Under ambient moisture, the oxime groups hydrolyze and crosslink with silanol groups, making it a neutral, mild-cure silane crosslinker.

RTV-1 Neutral Silicone Sealants & Adhesives
Primary crosslinking agent (curing agent) for one-component neutral silicone sealants (glass glue, construction sealants). Provides fast tack-free time, deep cure, and good crack resistance.
Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) Silicone Rubber
Used as a vulcanizing agent for silicone rubber; higher reactivity than methyl oxime silanes (MOS). Improves tensile strength, elongation, and hydrolysis stability.
Formulation Co-blending with MOS
Usually blended with methyltris(methylethylketoxime)silane (MOS) at ratios MOS:VOS = 9:1 to 8:2. Balances cure speed, shelf life, and mechanical properties; widely used in architectural & sanitary sealants.
