- Melting temperature: 50℃
- Thermal decomposition temperature: ≥300℃
Application Scope
Suitable for surface treatment of various powders and fillers, including:
- Light/heavy calcium carbonate, kaolin, mica powder, wollastonite, talc powder
- Pigments
- Also applicable for direct addition in plastics, rubber, coatings, inks and adhesives
Features & Benefits
- Good compatibility and synergistic stability
- Excellent lubricity
- Wide application range
- Easy to use
- Low cost
Usage & Dosage
A. Pre-treatment Method
- Preheat powder/filler in a high-speed mixer to about 110℃ to remove moisture.
- Add metered coupling agent and process for 8–10 minutes before discharging.
- Other additives may be added 4 minutes after activation with the coupling agent.
- Do not use with other dispersants simultaneously.
B. Direct Addition Method
Add directly during high-speed mixing (same method as above).
Add carboxyl/hydroxyl-containing components (stearic acid, organic alcohols, etc.) 3–4 minutes after activation.
The pre-treatment method under high-speed mixing yields the best results.
Recommended Dosage
- Ordinary fillers: 0.8%–1.0% of filler weight
- Film masterbatch: 1.5%–2.0% of filler weight
- Powder materials: 1.0%–1.5% of powder weight
- Color masterbatch & cable compounds: 1.5%–3.0% of filler weight
- PVC products: 1.0%–1.5% of filler weight (doubles filler loading, improves mechanical properties, lowers processing temperature)
- Rigid PVC products: 0.5%–1.0% of filler weight (improves corner welding strength, cold impact strength and flow processability)
- Powder coatings & inks: 0.7%–1.5%
Precautions
- For composites using PE, PP, ABS, PC and other granular resins, first make masterbatch, then blend with resins.
- Keep the coupling agent dry, fireproof and moisture-proof. Reseal promptly after opening.
- Use within the best shelf life (6 months) from production date.
