Properties
HC-N322 Amino Silicone Oil is an amino-modified polysiloxane with diamine groups on the side chains.
Molecular structure:
R₁(CH₃)₂SiO[(CH₃)₂SiO]ₘ[(R₂)(CH₃)SiO]ₙSi(CH₃)₂R₁
Where:
- R₁ = methyl or hydroxyl group
- R₂ = aminoalkyl group containing primary and secondary amines
In addition to retaining the original hydrophobicity and mold-release properties of dimethyl silicone oil, the strongly polar amino groups also provide reactivity, adsorption, softness, lubricity and gloss.
It has strong adsorption to human hair and textile fibers including cotton, wool, silk and linen. It bonds tightly with active groups on hair/fibers to form a durable protective film, delivering long-lasting softness, smoothness and luster, as well as abrasion resistance, crease resistance and wash resistance.
